WHOSE LAND IS THIS, THIS AMERICA?

I got some good jabs, some well intentioned criticism, as well as encouragement, on my blog. Until today, i didn't even know if I had set this thing a..right. I am a writer and am learning to be business wise. I need everyone's input in this endeavor. But the idea, the concept of these posts, is to open minds to the possibility that history is both in the past, and in the present mind's eye. For example, in Taos,New Mexico..(and I'm talking now to K.) I saw a street called Carson by a home and museum of the indian fighter by that name. I knew of Carson from the fifth grade. But I had never heard his name before about the exploits and the scalpings he observed. By his own hand, he spoke about his pal scalping anindian who lived. His friend did the right thing and put the brave out of his misery. I am from Brooklyn, New York, but i am spending time in this land. History calls out for remembrances. In search of America, I'd like YOUR comments. Whose land is this...this America?
